National Legal Aid (NLA) represents the Directors of the eight Australian State and Territory legal aid commissions.

NLA regularly convenes national meetings of ICL stakeholders including representatives of the Commonwealth Attorney- General’s Department, the family law courts, the Australian Institute of Family Studies and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia. It was the view of NLA stakeholders that a website for ICLs across the country providing access to publications, research, training and other information would be an invaluable resource for ICLs, supporting them in their work with children in vulnerable circumstances.

We hope you find the website a useful resource in your practice.
